Facts checked against official sources: 2026-10-28

Quick answer: Hida Folk Village (Hida no Sato) is an open-air museum of more than 30 traditional Hida buildings, including thatched farmhouses you can walk into, open every day 8:30–17:00 for ¥700 (adults); it is about 10 minutes from the Takayama Nohi Bus Center on the Sarubobo Bus (¥210 each way), or ¥1,000 for Nohi Bus's combination ticket with round-trip bus and entry.
